Homework: Find out about a Texas Hero!

Pecos Bill

Pecos Bill is a fictional character brought to life in some folktales about Texas and the Old West.  He is another American folk hero just like Paul Bunyan.  The people who told stories about Pecos Bill really liked to exaggerate, too.  They made up some very exciting stories!

Homework for June 12-19

June 28th is Paul Bunyan Day!

Paul Bunyan is an American folktale hero. There are many stories about this legendary lumberjack and his blue ox, Babe.  The stories about Paul are filled with exaggerations about how big and strong he was and what he did.

Summer is a GREAT TIME TO READ!!

There is nothing like reading a good book to pass the time!

Mousy, his best friend Bear, and I love to curl up in our favorite overstuffed chair with lots of pillows and read exciting adventure stories. I read aloud to them every day.

I hope that you’ll read every day this summer, too!

Here is a link https://imaginationsoup.net/category/childrens-books/ to a great website with a list of books for children. Click on any title and read a sample or see where to buy the book.
